hello!
i'm so sorry that i haven't been around in, well- i suppose it's been about a week. last week was particularly busy with it being mid-terms/the week before spring break- every professor decided to either have a 6 page paper due, multiple quizzes, or an exam that week. having barely made it through this long, and tiring week- i am happy to say that i am taking some long-awaited personal health time. as i sit here writing this on the balcony of my condo, located in gulf shores, alabama- i'm watching the sun set just to the west, and i'm watching the waves roll in off the ocean onto the beach just across the street from my condo. be jealous.
given that i'm in the fast forward program- i get my 4 year degree done in 3, putting me out into the real world or grad school 1 year earlier than most students. this program is wonderful, but it definitely has its drawbacks as well. although i will graduate from my undergrad program a whole year earlier, i have to sacrifice my summers for the sake of being scheduled as a full time student, year-round. other than christmas break, which usually is about 3 weeks long, i attend school full time, year-round, having no more than a week at a time off, except for christmas break. so when spring break roles around, you best believe i am more than ready to get to go somewhere, especially somewhere where i dont have to worry about school, or somewhere where i don't have to worry about life in general.
coming to gulf shores has been one of my favorite family vacation spots. this is our second trip to gulf shores, and our second stay in the same condo-complex. this place has everything that I need in a vacation- sun, sand, and the ocean. a week of relaxation is a must.
with love,
mojo
